The Abundance Initiative

the

Abundance

initiative

As a man who’s never been driven to build an empire or accumulate wealth, it might seem strange that I’m creating shirts with the word “abundance” on them.

“Why?” you might ask.

That’s a fair question.

The truth is, I’ve come to understand that abundance isn’t something we acquire—it’s something we accept. It’s already within us.

The things we believe we need in life don’t come from chasing or collecting them, but from acknowledging and accepting our own innate completeness.

I learned this during one of the hardest seasons of my life.

At the time, I was living in a small, run-down apartment with my wife, our two kids, and our dog. The building was falling apart. Trash lined the streets. Crime was common.

I was afraid.
I was ashamed.
I was lost.

I felt like I had failed.

I had left a stable job and a safe home to pursue a new business and a new life. But the business failed. Our home became unaffordable, and we were forced to move. I took on multiple jobs that still weren’t enough to support my family, and the strain began to show in my marriage.

It felt like everything—my work, my home, even my relationship—was slipping away.

So I did the only thing I knew how to do.

I prayed.

Not the kind of prayer that repeats memorized words and hopes for an answer, but a deep, searching kind of prayer—a reaching for something that felt distant but true.

In that stillness, I remembered something.

Years earlier, I had been lifted out of addiction by something I can only describe as Truth… as Love.

And I wondered—where had it gone?

Had it left me? Had I lost it?

As I sat with those questions, something became clear:

Love hadn’t gone anywhere.
It had always been there.
I just hadn’t been acknowledging it.

And as I leaned back into that truth, a simple but profound idea came to me:

“We must accept that we have, before we can get, abundance.”

Of course.

It wasn’t that abundance was missing—it was that I was blocking it with fear and the belief that I didn’t have it.

It’s like receiving a gift. The present is already there—you just have to unwrap it.

For me, “unwrapping” meant accepting that we are expressions of something greater—that we are already connected to a source of love, completeness, and supply. But we can’t experience it fully until we accept that it’s already ours.

As I began to shift my thinking, something changed.

I started trusting in what I couldn’t yet see—but deeply felt.

I leaned into Love.

And slowly, steadily, my life began to transform.

Not just internally, but outwardly too.

Opportunities appeared. Financial support came from unexpected places. We were able to move into a home that felt right for our family. The right vehicles showed up at the right time. My health improved. My marriage began to heal as I found humility and understanding I hadn’t had before.

Life started to rebalance.

But more importantly, I began to see that Love was the source of it all.

When I felt poor, Love revealed supply.
When I felt weak, Love gave me strength.
When I was afraid, Love gave me courage.
When I felt alone, Love gave me connection.

And when it came time to give love, I discovered I had more than enough.

That’s what abundance means to me.

Not accumulation—but acceptance.

Love never leaves us.

And when we accept it as our own, it meets every need we have.

That’s why I created these shirts. Because I want you to know and feel this love, too.

They’re simple reminders of a truth that changed my life:

“We must accept that we have, before we can get, abundance.”

I put these words in quotes because they were given to me—they didn’t feel like something I invented, but something I received.

Each shirt comes with a mantra card with these words as a small gift—a reminder of where our true abundance comes from.

If you find yourself struggling with lack in any area of life, let this shirt, this card, this idea, remind you of what you already have.
